Moholoholo Wildlife Rehab Center

Moholoholo has become a haven for the rehabilitation and care of abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife.

Two tours daily from Monday to Saturday (approximately two to two and a half hours): The first tour starts at 09:30, and the second starts at 15:00.

Open on Sundays only during the Limpopo school holidays and over long weekends. On these occasions, there will only be one tour at 15:00.

Jessica the Hippo

In the wild, a lone and premature hippo calf won’t survive for too long, but Tonie and his wife Shirley nursed Jessica to health with baby formula.

She now weighs 2,200 pounds and sleeps on their veranda in the Limpopo province.

Jessica is the world’s most famous hippo and perhaps the only one who has forgotten how aggressive and scary she is supposed to be!

African Dream horse safari

Horse trails are offered to the public. Beginners and advance riders are welcomed so that anyone gets to experience the beauty of the bush from horseback.
